- Racers who do not register by the cut-off are still welcome to race, but they will not earn GP points for that race.
- GC Points are awarded to each registered racer based on their race performance as a percentage of the fastest racer’s time for each race.
- Racers who also volunteer will receive points (an average of completed races) for races they volunteer instead of racing.
- Each week, accumulated points will be totalled and posted to the Master Points List on the Grapefruit Cup website.
- The male and female skiers with the most accumulated points will wear the yellow “leader’s bib" each week.
- At the end of the race series the top Male and Female points leaders for each division will have their names placed on the Grapefruit Cup (you don’t get to keep it), and all the bragging rights for the season.

Race Bibs & Timing Chips
- Bibs will immediately be returned to the “bib bucket” after you cross the finish line. It is imperative that you return your bib! We have gone 19 years and have not lost a bib …let’s keep the record going. ie: DO NOT COOL DOWN WITH YOUR BIB ON !
- If you don’t return your bib and/or timing chip immediately after your race, you will not receive GC points for that race.
- If you don't return or your lose your timing chip you will be fined $50 (they are way too expensive to lose!).
Race Cancellation
- Temperature guidelines will be strictly adhered to since we may not always have a “warm-up” facility available to us. If conditions/forecast at 5:00pm are below -21 degrees C air temp, or a notable windchill (-25 or colder), the race will be canceled.
- CANCELLATION NOTICE will be posted to Team Snap by 5:00pm RACE DAY.
